Application

Use in the morning and throughout the day as needed. Apply a dime-size amount on face and neck. Can be used on cleansed skin or over a moisturizer, followed by makeup.

No. While the NIA 24™ 100% Mineral Sunscreen has moisturizing properties, its primary purpose is to protect from harmful UVA/UVB rays and deliver Pro-Niacin™ to the skin. If a moisturizer is needed, apply NIA 24™ Skin Strengthening Complex first and follow with NIA 24™ 100% Mineral Sunscreen.

What are the benefits of the NIA 24™ 100% Mineral Sunscreen over other available sunscreens?
NIA 24™’s 100% Mineral Sunscreen contains natural sunscreens (transparent, micronized titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) which offer broader spectrum UVA/UVB protection and are known to be less irritating than chemical sunscreens. What is the difference between chemical and physical sunscreens?
Chemical sunscreens contain active chemical ingredients that absorb UV rays. Physical sunscreens are natural ingredients that reflect, block and refract UV rays. NIA 24™ 100% Mineral Sunscreen is a physical sunscreen.

Are physical sunscreens better than chemical sunscreens?
Yes. Natural (physical) sunscreens, like the NIA 24™ 100% Mineral Sunscreen, have a more stable shelf life, better long-term UVA protection and are less-irritating. Chemical sunscreens may potentially cause irritation when applied to certain skin types and don’t have the same long-term ability to protect against harmful UV rays.

Are the sunscreens in the NIA 24™ products PABA-free?
Yes. PABA is known to be very irritating to certain skin types, thus, the NIA 24™ products do not contain PABA.
