What Are Restylane Defyne and Refyne?
Restylane Refyne and Defyne are injectable dermal fillers made to treat mild to severe smile lines. Restylane Refyne is created to address mild to moderate lines, while Restylane Defyne is created to treat moderate to severe lines. Both are created with hyaluronic acid to smooth nasolabial folds, which extend from the nose to the sides of the mouth.
What to Expect During Treatment
Restylane Refyne and Defyne treatments are performed in-office on an outpatient basis. A topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area to ensure your comfort. Then, a fine, thin needle will be used to inject Restylane Refyne or Defyne into the treatment area. Treatment should take no longer than one hour to complete.
Results
There is no downtime associated with Restylane Refyne and Defyne treatments. Mild swelling and redness near the injection site is normal and should resolve within a week. A follow-up appointment may be needed after about two weeks to check results. While one treatment may be sufficient, some patients may require more than one to see optimal results. Results are long lasting and can last up to 12 months.
